This new format will offer systematic instruction in ceramics, both handbuilding and wheelthrowing. The first class meeting of each week (Tuesday) will involve a mix of teaching key principles, demonstrating techniques, and group practice.
Students may return on Wednesday or Thursday OR BOTH in order to work on projects.
Experienced clay students may also take the class to gain studio access.

How clay behaves under different firing temperatures Methods for coil and slab building Throwing on the wheel – secrets of success Sculpting with press molds Free sculpting Slip casting Glazes Designing with contrasting clay colors
MATERIALS: A selection of clay body types will be available for purchase. Clay is $12 per 25 lbs. Clay can only be bought during class from the instructor.
